There’s something you want. Some goal you want to achieve. Or milestone you want to reach.
Maybe it’s launch a business.
Or lose 20 pounds.
Maybe it’s write that book.
Or run a marathon.
Maybe it’s take that trip.
Or change careers.
Maybe it’s declutter and simplify.
Or move across country.
Whatever your goal, it can be daunting to look at the whole of what you desire.
Seeing and sensing the big gap between where you are and where you want to get.
It would be easier in some ways to do nothing. To just continue wishing and wanting.
But life’s too short for that.
Here’s your mini mission
Take the very next step that moves you closer to your goal, your dream, your desire.
No matter how small, how humble.
In fact, be intentional about taking the small step. Hold yourself back from grand sweeping gestures. They are unsustainable.
- Instead, learn to take the small step. Repeatedly.
- Get really good at asking: What’s the very next action I can take? And then take it.
- Rinse and repeat.
Because the small step, one after another, will get you there.
I know you have some wish or want.
Take the next step.
What’s the smallest viable action you can take today toward what you want?
