I want to ask a very important question that is really two questions.
So here we go: What are your top 3 emotions creating?
The reason I say this is two questions is first you need to have some idea what your top three emotions actually are before you can begin to consider what they are creating.
Now, just so you know, I made up the number three. You could ask what is your top emotion or your top five or even ten emotions.
I landed on three because it’s easy enough to think back over the past hour or day or week and identify three emotions you’ve been experiencing. Any less might not be representative and any more could be cumbersome to contemplate.
Three seems to me both a telling and a manageable number.
So what about it?
Consider some period of time—the last hour, yesterday, the past week or month—and ask yourself: What were my top three emotions? What three emotions did I experience most frequently?
For instance…
- Were your top three emotions worry, doubt and insecurity?
- Were your top three emotions happiness, anger and boredom?
- Were your top three emotions appreciation, joy, and optimism?
Notice in my examples that sometimes all three emotions are on the same end of the emotional scale—whether high or low—and other times it’s more mixed, as in experiencing happiness, anger, and boredom.
Your own experience could be any mix of emotions. You may have been on the very high end of the scale and the very low end. Or your top three emotions may have been squarely in the middle of the emotional scale. All combinations are possible.
The first part of answering my question is to identify the top three emotions you’ve been experiencing.
The second part of answering the question has to do with what your emotions are creating.
“You’re not manifesting, you’re creating the environment that allows the manifestation.” —Abraham
Abraham is describing what your top three emotions are doing. The way you feel—so those top three emotions—are the vibrational environment from which you attract.
In other words, the top three emotions you experienced yesterday created an environment. And from that environment comes manifestation.
“You create your own reality. And today we want to say that in the clearest way yet: You create the vibrational atmosphere which equals your vibrational point of attraction, and then, the Law of Attraction matches you with things like you.” —Abraham
That is why your emotions are important—and why shining a light on your top three emotions is so beneficial.
You are creating a vibrational environment or vibrational atmosphere with your emotions. And this vibrational environment equals your point of attraction.
Your top emotions are creating your reality because you are getting more that aligns with the frequency of those emotions. Law of Attraction is bringing you circumstances, people, events, situations, and things that match the frequency of your go-to emotions.
Let me give you an example that connects the dots between a top emotion you’ve been experiencing, in other words, a vibration you have been offering to which Law of Attraction responds.
Let’s say worry is one of your top three emotions from the past few days. Worry, then, is the vibrational environment you have created. If you follow the story to the end, what will manifest from worry as your point of attraction?
“Worrying is using your imagination to create something you don’t want.” —Abraham
While I don’t know the specifics of what your worry will create, I do know the emotion of worry is a point of attraction that will not attract anything you want. The frequency of worry is a poor point of attraction, indeed.
So as you think about your top three emotions, what are you creating? What is the vibrational atmosphere you have created—and what is likely to manifest from there?
Now, keep in mind what I said at the outset. I made up the number three to give you a point of focus.
Of course, you are a human being who experiences more than three emotions. You likely experience dozens of different emotions throughout the day—all of which create create your vibrational point of attraction.
While you may experience many different emotions each day, I notice many of us have a smaller set of go-to emotions we tend to keep activating with our thoughts. Although even this smaller subset of go-to emotions may certainly be more than only three emotions.
Rather than get hung up on a precise number of emotions, another way to think about your vibrational point of attraction is simply: What percentage of time are you feeling good versus what percentage of time are you feeling bad?
Again, you can assess within the timeframe of the last hour or yesterday, within the span of the past month or this calendar year. Just pick a timeframe and then consider: Roughly what percentage of time have you been feeling good versus bad? What is the ratio?
In simple terms, your ratio is creating an environment for manifestation.
I’m sure you can imagine the difference in what you will manifest depending on the direction of your vibration.
For instance, if in the past week your ratio of feeling good is 75%, that’s a great point of attraction for manifesting what you want. You will attract circumstances, people, events, situations, and things of a similar feel-good frequency.
On the other hand, if 75% of the time you’ve been feeling some flavor of bad, that’s also creating a vibrational point of attraction. What you will manifest from that feel-bad vibrational environment is not what you want. So not only are you feeling bad, which of course is no fun, but you are also attracting circumstances and conditions that match that feeling-bad frequency.
“The only thing that matters is what you are doing right now in your vibration. And you can tell what you are doing in your vibration right now by the way you feel.” —Abraham
You are offering a vibration with your emotions, and Law of Attraction responds to that vibration.
Getting clear on what you are doing with your vibration—in other words, what you are feeling—is the first step in understanding what you are attracting.
I invite you to answer the question that will help you understand your vibrational point of attraction and the reality you are creating.
Begin with: What are your top three emotions? Again, you can pick any timeframe to consider your answer—today, this month, this year. The timeframe is simply to help you focus so you can identify your top emotions.
“By paying attention to the way you feel, and then choosing thoughts that feel the very best, you are managing your own vibration, which means you are controlling your own point of attraction—which means you are creating your own reality.” —Abraham
Paying attention to the way you feel was the first part of our question—What are your top three emotions?
Now we come to the second part of the question: What are your top three emotions creating?
At any moment, you can pause and check in with yourself: What am I feeling right now? And based on what I am feeling, what am I creating?
Remember, you will attract more of the essence of what you are feeling.
- If you are feeling doubt and disappointment, you are attracting more of that essence.
- If you are feeling positive expectation and empowerment, you are attracting more of that essence.
Law of Attraction will bring you circumstances, people, events, situations, and things that are a match to the vibration you are offering.
So when I ask, What are your top three emotions creating?, what I’m really wanting you to consider is whether you are creating what you want, whether you are going to be pleased with your manifestations.
Of course, it’s important to remember that your manifestations enjoy a buffer of time, which is actually a good thing.
I know we often wish that what we want would manifest faster, but there’s a reason to appreciate this buffer of time.
“This is always true: What I think and how I feel, and what manifests, is always a vibrational match. But here’s the big kicker: What manifests isn’t manifesting instantaneously. So, you’ve got all this buffer of time leeway that makes you sloppy… If you thought a negative thought and a brick would instantly fall on your head every time, you’d clean up your thinking. But you’re not here to be punished about your thinking. You’re here to use your thinking—and your focus—to create.” —Abraham
Deliberate creation is about offering your vibration on purpose so that you can manifest on purpose. And so, I’ll ask again: What are your top three emotions creating?
“Just because something hasn’t manifested, doesn’t mean that it can’t. You are not miles away from what you want, and you are not years or hours or months or weeks or days away from what you want. You’re only vibrations away from what you want.” —Abraham
