Your beliefs are always manifesting a reality around you. Are your beliefs manifesting what you want?
You can only create what your beliefs support, which means the reality you create around you will be a reflection of your beliefs.
It’s important to realize Law of Attraction is always at work.
You are always manifesting. You are always attracting circumstances and conditions, people and events, situations and things.
And yet you are not always receiving the manifestations you desire. You are not always attracting what you want.
Perhaps you are getting some of what is wanted and some of what is unwanted. The reason for a mixed bag of manifestations is often because your beliefs need to change if you are to manifest what you want.
“If there are things in your experience that you no longer wish to experience, your belief must change. If there are things that are not in your experience that you want to bring into your experience, your belief must change.” —Abraham
- If there are unpaid bills you would rather no longer experience, your belief must change.
- If there is a romantic partner you would like to bring into your experience, your belief must change.
- If you would rather no longer experience overwhelm and time scarcity, your belief must change.
- If you want to bring vibrancy and fun into your experience, your belief must change.
Take a look around your life and notice what’s showing up. What’s in your life that you would rather not be? What’s missing that you want?
Your beliefs are the reason for both answers. Your beliefs are behind what’s showing up in your life and your beliefs are behind what’s missing from your life.
This is why belief work is super essential when it comes to manifesting what you want.
Let’s keep things simple: A belief is simply a practiced thought. A belief is only a thought you keep thinking.
What thoughts have you been practicing about money or about relationships? What thoughts have you gotten really good at thinking about time or health?
You can only create what your beliefs support.
- If you want to manifest abundance, your beliefs must support abundance.
- If you want to manifest love, your beliefs must support love.
- If you want to manifest more fun in your life, your beliefs must support fun.
Whatever goal you are wanting to achieve or shiny penny you are wanting to acquire or experience you are wanting to have, your beliefs must align.
Often when something is missing from our life experience that we want or when there is something in our life experience that we don’t want, we focus on what-is. In other words, we focus on the absence of what we want or the presence of what we don’t want.
We look at what-is and think thoughts about what-is. And yet, what-is is not what we want.
“If you continue to focus as you have been, to think as you have been, and to believe as you have been, then nothing in your experience will change.” —Abraham
This is a wake-up call for many of us.
- If you continue to believe as you have been believing, your experience will stay pretty much the same.
- If you continue to think as you have been thinking, your experience will stay pretty much the same.
While the details may vary a bit here and there, the essence of the experience you are living will stay the same.
Now, of course, if your what-is is exactly the way you want it to be, then your beliefs are serving you very well. Because your beliefs have created the reality that you are living.
For most of us, there are areas or subjects in our lives where this is the case.
For instance, perhaps when it comes to your career and your relationships, you love the reality your beliefs have created.
On the other hand, when it comes to health and abundance, you are not so pleased with what-is.
I invite you to think about your life and the currently reality you’ve attracted.
Which areas or subjects of what-is are delightful to you versus which ones, if any, you would like to be different?
If there are areas of your life or certain subjects in your life you would like to be different, then your beliefs need to change to manifest what you want.
I often will ask a client if her beliefs support and align with what she wants. Sometimes a client initially will hesitate in answering because she’s overcomplicating whether her beliefs support and align with what she wants. Perhaps you tend to overcomplicate this too.
Here’s an easy way to tell if your beliefs support what you want to manifest: Do you feel some flavor of good when you think about what you want to manifest or do you feel some flavor of bad? Or perhaps it’s a mix of feeling good and bad.
Your answer tells you everything you need to know.
Whether you feel positive emotion, negative emotion, or a mix is telling you all you really need to know about whether your beliefs need to change to manifest what you want.
“When you want something that you believe, it feels good. But when you have a desire that you doubt, then that desire does not feel good because the vibrational content of your desire and the vibrational content of your belief does not match. Negative emotion is simply present when you are thinking in opposition to your own desire.” —Abraham
When you think about your desired manifestations—the goal you want to achieve or shiny penny you want to acquire—do you feel negative emotion? Maybe you feel doubt or unworthiness, impatience or discouragement, worry or fear.
If you feel any flavor of negative emotion when you think about what you are wanting to manifest, that means you are thinking in opposition to your desire.
Your belief—remember, that’s just a thought you keep thinking—contradicts your own desire.
And if your belief contradicts your desire, what you want will not manifest.
So negative emotion about what you want is a sign your belief needs to change.
Another tell-tale sign you may want and need to change your beliefs is when you hold tight to what-is with your emphasis on facts and evidence. What I mean by this is you look around at your life for all kinds of evidence to support what you believe.
For instance, someone shares the common theme for every relationship she’s had is partners who are less committed to her and the relationship than she is. Every past relationship is “evidence” of…—and here’s where her thoughts and beliefs come in—every past relationship is “evidence” she’s not capable of attracting a committed partner or evidence there are no good men out there or evidence she’s unworthy of love.
Here’s the thing: It is her beliefs creating and attracting that reality.
“If you hold to the idea that you can only believe the things that are currently based in “factual evidence”, then nothing can change for you.” —Abraham
I think of it this way: If I can only believe what reflects the what-is of my current reality, then my reality can never really change.
Again, that’s fine if my what-is is all that I want it to be. But if there are aspects of my what-is that I want to be different, then looking at the so-called “facts” and “evidence” is going to attract what I’m wanting to manifest.
Does your belief need to change to manifest what you want?
In other words, do you have work to do on your beliefs?
Remember, if you feel negative emotion about what you want to manifest, that is an indication you have work to do on your beliefs.
Negative emotion, when you think about that raise you want at work or the harmony you desire in your relationship, negative emotion means your thoughts, and therefore your belief, is not in alignment with what you want.
And, of course, if what you want has not yet manifested, that is likely an indication you have belief work to do.
“What you believe regarding anything that you want is extremely important—for you will allow only within the boundaries of your beliefs. And so, in many cases your beliefs must be altered to harmonize with your intentions.” —Abraham
You are allowing within the boundaries of your beliefs.
Which means the way to manifest with greater ease is simply to expand the boundaries of your beliefs.
If your beliefs are creating situations in your life that you do not want or if your beliefs are blocking what it is you do want from manifesting, then your beliefs need to change.

“A belief is only a thought you continue to think; and when your beliefs match your desires, then your desires must become your reality.” —Abraham
When your thoughts about what you want actually support and align with what you want, the desired manifestation will show up. That’s how Law of Attraction works.
Your beliefs are always, always, always manifesting. Now is the time to match your beliefs with your desires.
“The evidence does not support your belief. The evidence was created by your belief.” —Abraham
