The Universe will the do the heavy lifting of manifesting for you. You don’t need to make things happen or try really hard and force what you want to manifest.
That’s not your job.
Always keep in mind that what you desire has been vibrationally created. That’s the essence of Step 2 of manifesting. What you want has been vibrationally created.
Your job, then, is to be in receiving mode for what you want. Your job is to align with the resources of the Universe so you can actually receive what you want.
OK, but how? That’s what so many of my clients want to know.
How do I align with the resources of the Universe? How do I allow the Universe to the do the heavy lifting of manifesting? How do I get the Universe to respond differently to me?
Here’s how.
“When you reach for the thought that feels better, the Universe is now responding differently to you because of that effort. And so, the things that follow you get better and better, too. So it gets easier to reach for the thought that feels better, because you are on ever-increasing, improving platforms that feel better.” —Abraham
On the one hand, those words are simple and straightforward. Yet, many of us are not heeding this wisdom. Let me highlight what’s happening here.
You reach for a thought that feels better. And so you feel better.
And now, because you feel better, the Universe responds to your better-feeling vibration with things that match your better-feeling frequency. As Abraham always says, “The Universe is not punishing you or blessing you. The Universe is responding to the vibrational attitude that you are emitting.”
OK, so you feel better and then conditions and circumstances, people and events, situation and things are now better too.
And it follows that because you are feeling better and because good things are following you… well, then it’s even easier to feel better.
See how that works?
This is, indeed, how you get the Universe to respond differently to you.
It all starts with reaching for the thought that feels better. It all begins with thinking thoughts that feel good to you when you think them.
Let me say this a slightly different way.
When I think a thought about not being good enough or not being worthy, I feel negative emotion. The Universe is not going to punish me for my thought, but the Universe is going to respond to the vibration I’m offering.
In other words, the Universe is going to respond to my negative emotion. And so clearly that thought is not serving me. It doesn’t feel good and it means the things that follow me are not going to get better and better. Instead, they will get worse and worse.
If you offer a vibration of anger, you will get a life experience that is of the same frequency. Law of Attraction will deliver circumstances and conditions, people and events, situations and things that are on the same frequency as anger.
Likewise, when you offer a vibration of worry or disappointment, of jealousy or insecurity, the Universe is responding. I’m sure you can imagine, though, that what you are attracting from these lower vibrations is not going to be what you want.
My job—and your job—is to reach for thoughts that feel better, for thoughts that feel good. Because when you do, the Universe responds accordingly.
“Know that just one moment of joy is a sign of better things to come.” —Abraham
That’s because one moment of joy is the vibration you are emitting to which Law of Attraction responds.
To get the Universe to respond differently to you means offering your vibration on purpose. As in, a vibration that is the frequency of the good you are wanting in our life.
I want to share a couple pointers for doing as Abraham suggests to reach for the thought that feels better.
First, don’t try to justify why you don’t feel good.
“No matter what the issue is, don’t try to justify why you don’t feel good. And don’t try to justify why you should feel differently. Don’t try to blame whatever it is you think the reason is that’s keeping you from feeling good. All of that is wasted effort. Just try to feel better right now.” —Abraham
Many of us do try to justify why we don’t feel good.
- I have a right to feel angry because of what my boss said.
- I have a right to be disappointed because of what my spouse did.
We justify the negative emotion we are feeling. As Abraham says, this is a wasted effort. It doesn’t matter whether you are justified in your negative emotion or not.
The point is when you feel negative emotion you are mis-creating. You are attracting things that will not please you. The things that follow you will not get better and better.
“When you try to justify where you are by pointing out how bad things are, you are headed in the wrong direction.” —Abraham
Don’t try to justify why you don’t feel good.
This has been a big one for me personally. The pre-LoA version of me definitely used to be righteous in my feeling bad. As in, I have a right to feel bad so I’m just going to keep on feeling bad. These days, that strikes me as a very funny way to look at it.
Do I want to justify feeling bad or do I simply want to feel good? Law of Attraction will respond either way, but only one of those pathways will allow what I’m wanting.
Next: Revise and improve the content of the story you tell.
“If you will let your dominant intention be to revise and improve the content of the story you tell every day of your life, it is our absolute promise to you that your life will become that ever-improving story. For by the powerful Law of Attraction—the essence of that which is like unto itself is drawn—it must be!” —Abraham
What is the story you have been telling about your life? About your past? What is the story you’ve been telling about your relationships or the kind of day you’re having?
Too many of us are telling stories—whether aloud to others or silently to ourselves in our heads—we are telling stories that are not serving us. We are telling stories of disappointment and worry, stories of frustration and overwhelm, stories of powerlessness and blame.
In short, we are telling stories that cause us to feel bad.
“You have to begin to tell the story of your life as you now want it to be and discontinue the tales of how it has been or of how it is.” —Abraham
If you want the Universe to respond differently to you, it’s time to revise and improve the content of the story you tell.
You want to do this because Law of Attraction will respond to your revised and improved story. When you tell a better story, a higher vibe story, a story that feels good to you, your life will begin to reflect your story back to you with improved circumstances and conditions.
You might be thinking, How do I tell a better-feeling story?
I promise this doesn’t need to be difficult. Revising and improving the content of the story you tell may not be second nature for you right now, but it can become your go-to. Time and again, I’ve seen this is a skill you can build. It just takes a desire to do it.
Of course, I realize where you are at this moment may include things you don’t want in your life experience. As always, you can only start where you are.
Use what you don’t want to clarify what you do want and then turn in that direction with your focus and attention. Turn in the direction of what is wanted in the story you tell.
“When you acknowledge what you do not want, and then ask yourself, ‘What is it that I do want?’, you begin a gradual shift into the telling of your new story and into a much-improved point of attraction.” —Abraham
I know that you want the things that follow you to get better and better. I know you want to be on ever-increasing, improving platforms that feel better.
The two pointers I’ve shared can go a long way in helping you do just that.
- Don’t try to justify why you don’t feel good.
- Revise and improve the content of the story you tell.
“When you focus on the good the good gets better.” —Abraham
