One of the practices that has been super helpful on my LoA journey has been to distill the concepts into something short and easy to remember.
I’ve found doing so means I’m more likely to shift from knowing about some aspect of Law of Attraction to actually practicing that aspect in my daily life. As in, to actually embody the concept or principle.
It’s one thing to know Law of Attraction; it’s another thing to live Law of Attraction.
I want to share ten short sayings that I use to remind me, to guide me, to help me manifest with more ease.
These sayings are in no particular order, and you’ll notice some overlap and a repetition of themes, which is a good thing. Law of Attraction isn’t about knowing and understanding a thousand different concepts. It’s really only about a few.
First up: Like energy attracts like energy.
Whatever energy I’m giving I’m going to get back.
If I’m giving the energy of complaint, what shows up in my life experience will be a vibrational match—an energetic match to my energy of complaining. Same with anger and blame, same with disappointment and worry, and so on.
Of course, the upside of like energy attracting like energy is that when I give the energy of love, that’s what I get back. When I give the energy of enthusiasm, that’s what I get back. When I give the energy of appreciation, more will show up in my life experience to appreciate.
Another way to say this is: Whatever you are giving with your vibration you are receiving.
So let me ask: Based on what you are giving with your vibration, will you be pleased with what you receive?
You’re a magnet attracting the essence of what you’re thinking and feeling.
Same concept, just worded differently. Sometimes a different phrasing is what sparks that light bulb moment.
I love the reminder that I’m a magnet. That alone is priceless. And then that I’m a magnet attracting the essence of what I’m thinking and feeling.
This saying is a reminder to be sure I’m a magnet for what I want rather than what I don’t want.
- If I’m thinking thoughts that cause me to feel worry, then I’m a magnet for more circumstances in my life that will give me an opportunity to worry.
- If I’m thinking thoughts of blame, criticism, and judgment, then I’m a magnet for a life experience that is the essence of those. Yuck, right?
You are a magnet attracting the essence of what you’re thinking and feeling. Think about the past few days. What kind of magnet have you been?
The Universe doesn’t hear “no”.
So many times we are thinking and speaking of what we don’t want. And we think that means we’re focused on what we do want. But LoA doesn’t work that way.
For instance, you say, I don’t want to have a long commute or I don’t want my next boss to be so critical.
The Universe doesn’t hear ‘no’. The Universe hears long commute and critical boss.
When you say you don’t want the long commute, your focus is on the long commute. That’s not what you mean, but that’s what is happening vibrationally.
Instead, shift your focus to what is wanted so the attraction-based Universe brings you what you actually want.
To do this, you can think and speak about the short, easy, relaxing commute you want—not what you don’t want. You can think and speak about the kind of boss you would love to work for—not the kind you don’t like.
Next: Attention to what-is only creates more of what-is.
When things are not the way I want them to be in some area of my life, it doesn’t do me any good to focus on what-is.
My attention is creating and attracting. So focusing on a what-is I don’t like and don’t want is working against me manifesting what I do like and want.
If some aspect of my current reality isn’t what I would like, the key is to use my imagination to envision what I do want. I don’t have to only look at what’s already been created. I can imagine things as I want them to be.
Now, of course, many of us are living lives where some aspects of what-is are fantastic, so focusing on those is fine. If you focus on things you like and appreciate about your current reality—so positive aspects—then you create more of the same.
Bottom line: Your attention and focus are creating.
Circumstances are neutral.
This is Law of Attraction 101—and oh my! Sometimes I am so utterly aligned with this concept. I absolutely know circumstances are neutral and it is my thoughts about those circumstances that cause my feelings.
Other times, I forget this. Or perhaps not forget as much as disregard it.
When I find myself thinking this unwanted circumstance is bad and so, of course, I can only feel bad, that’s when I know I’ve lost my alignment with the concept that circumstances are neutral.
I have no power if I can only feel good when circumstances are good and bad when circumstances are bad.
The next saying I use to remind and guide me: Your thoughts create your feelings.
This is closely related to circumstances being neutral. It’s not circumstances creating or causing my feelings. It is my thoughts about them.
- My thoughts create my feelings.
- Your thoughts create your feelings.
This is such a useful reminder.
Before I knew about LoA, I would leak a lot of energy in a misguided attempt to get circumstance the way I wanted them to be so that I could feel good. Now I know I can simply choose thoughts that allow me to feel good—because I also know when I feel good I will attract circumstances that are a vibrational match.
The way you feel is your point of attraction.
I really appreciate the simplicity of this one and use it daily to guide me. I am attracting more of what I’m feeling.
If I’m feeling love and appreciation, I definitely want more of the good stuff in life aligned with that. But if I’m feeling fear, then fear is my point of attraction. If I’m feeling guilt, then guilt is my point of attraction.
Your emotions indicate your alignment or misalignment.
I like to think of it this way: If you’re feeling low on the emotional scale—so in a state of misalignment—nothing has gone wrong. How you feel is how you feel, and how you feel comes from your thoughts.
While nothing has gone wrong when you don’t feel good, you do want to reach for thoughts that feel better. You want to be intentional about thinking in a way that allows you to feel relief, to feel better, to feel good so your point of attraction will attract circumstances and conditions that are pleasing to you.
A great question to ask yourself: Based on how you feel right now, what would you say about your point of attraction?
Your creative power lies in this moment.
This saying gives me relief every single time. It keeps me from ruminating about the past. It keeps me from worrying about the future. My past isn’t creating. My future isn’t creating.
Only my present moment is creative.
Now, of course, I could be thinking about the past in the present moment and feeling regret. In which case regret is the vibration I’m offering right now in the present—and the vibration that is attracting and creating.
I could be worrying about the future right now, and so worry is my vibration. But it’s not the future that’s creating. It’s what I’m choosing to focus on and feel right now in this moment.
This saying is my reminder to choose wisely.
You can change your life by changing your thoughts.
This saying is super obvious when you’ve been studying LoA for awhile. But I often hear it with a fresh sense of the power of this simple concept.
It’s not a bunch of action that will change my life. It’s not doing a hundred things on a To Do list. I can change my life simply by changing my thoughts.
- If I don’t believe I’m worthy of abundance, abundance will not flow into my life.
- If you don’t feel you’re deserving of a happy relationship, you will not experience a happy relationship.
Law of Attraction will bring you a life experience that reflects your thoughts. Look around at your life. Notice what you’ve created—or mis-created—with your thinking.
And know this: Regardless of what your past thinking might have created that you are now living, you can change your life right now by simply changing your thoughts.
No one else can do this for you, and they don’t need to because you have this amazing creative power. Change your thoughts and your external reality will change to reflect your new ways of thinking.
Appreciation is your superpower.
I love the feeling of appreciation, and it’s a vibration I experience regularly. Before my obsession with all things Law of Attraction, I would say I was a grateful person. But I have really embraced that appreciation is my superpower.
Appreciation is at the top of the emotional scale, so it’s the highest vibration there is.
“Appreciation is the magic formula you’ve been seeking.” —Abraham
When you appreciate you feel so very good. and when you appreciate and feel so very good, you attract circumstances and conditions, people and events, situations and things that are a vibrational match.
When you dial into appreciation on a regular basis, life becomes magical.
And the great thing is anyone can do this at any time. You can tap into appreciation no matter what’s going on in your life, regardless of your relationship status or bank account, regardless of gas prices or work deadlines.
Appreciation is always available. There is always something to appreciate. It’s simply a choice you make to focus on what you like and appreciate.
I hope one or more of the sayings that I use to remind and guide me might be useful to do the same for you.
