Get everything you want—the hard way or the easy way

Inspired Action vs. Efforting: hard way

I think you can have everything you want. And there are two ways to get it. One is the hard way and one is the easy way.

The hard way

The hard way is to effort your way there. Struggle, strive, lots of shoulds. Long To Do lists and project plans. Lots of doing things you think you have to do. Push. Try harder. Make it happen. Hustle. Massive action. Incremental progress.

Like I said, the hard way.

But finally you’ll get there. A week, a month, a year later. Now, you won’t have enjoyed the journey, but you’ll get there. And hopefully you’ll at least feel good having achieved your goal. Having arrived at your destination.

The easy way

The second way is the easy way.

You feel NOW how you think you’ll feel then. You get in alignment every day, which just means feeling good. You take inspired action. You listen to your intuition. You totally enjoy the journey. The Universe conspires with you.

A week, a month, a year later, you arrive. And while you’re totally happy about arriving, you were also happy all the way there.

As Joseph Campbell says: “Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.”

So which journey do you want to go on? Do you want to do it the hard way or the easy way?

Using Law of Attraction

I work with clients who want to do it the easy way. Who want to use Law of Attraction to their advantage.

My clients are tired—just like I was—of the hard way. They perk up when they hear me quote Abraham: “Be where you are and do all things in joy.”

These days my coaching—and my life—are grounded in Law of Attraction. That wasn’t always the case. I used to set a goal and grind it out. I was all about hustle and hard work.

But then I discovered the easy way. Both for myself—and for my clients. And that is The Law of Attraction way.

Now, here’s the thing: Law of Attraction is at work in your life whether you know about it or not. Whether you believe it or not.

It’s like gravity. Gravity is always working in your life. You don’t have to understand gravity or deserve it. Gravity just is.

Well, Law of Attraction is the same way. It’s a universal law. Always there, always working.

But it’s empowering to really understand Law of Attraction so you can finally understand why you’re getting the results in your life that you’re getting. And to understand how you can get less of a mixed bag—you know, some of what you want and some of what you don’t want—and instead start getting only what you do want.

So, do I think everyone needs Law of Attraction in their life? Well, it’s already there, producing results. It’s always been there. It always will be.

But do I think everyone can benefit from using Law of Attraction with more understanding and intention—so it’s truly working to their advantage? Absolutely!

Law of Attraction 101

So let’s start with Law of Attraction 101: You create your own reality. You’re a magnet, attracting and manifesting the essence of what you’re thinking and feeling.

Which means what you give thought to—wanted or unwanted—you begin to invite into your experience.

Here’s an easy formula: Your Thoughts + Your Emotions = Create Your Reality.

The Universe brings thoughts and feelings that match up vibrationally to what you’re thinking and feeling. Which means feeling good is the way forward.

You want to vibrate at the high end of the emotional scale with emotions like love and appreciation. Like positive expectation and freedom.

Very simply: You want to feel good. Because by feeling good, you attract more good things and more to feel good about into your life.

  • If you’re thinking about cash flow and worried there’s not enough money, the Universe will bring you more situations and circumstances that give you a chance to worry about money.
  • If you’re thinking “my boss drives me nuts and is so unreasonable”, then the Law of Attraction brings more of the same—more nuts and unfair into your experience.

So it’s important to manage your mind. You have to clean up your thinking so your thoughts and feelings align with the good stuff you want.

Why you do and want things

Now here’s something you may never have considered: You do and want things because you think they’ll make you feel better.

  • You want the promotion or the new job because you think it will make you feel better.
  • You want to lose 10 pounds, clean out your attic, buy a bigger house because you think it will make you feel better.
  • You want to be more patient, or pay off your debt, or meditate daily because you think it will make you feel better.

Everything you want is because you think it will make you feel better. That’s true for goals you want to achieve, shiny pennies you want to acquire, experiences you want to have, and states of being you’d like to embody.

Well, here’s the really good news: Law of Attraction is rooted in feeling good.

“If you had only one goal, and that was to feel good, you would live successfully and happily.” —Abraham

The key is to feel NOW how you think you’ll feel when you achieve the goal or get the thing you want.

Feel good now

I help my clients start to feel better right away. Start to feel good NOW. And nothing in their circumstances has to change for that to happen.

THAT is mind-blowing—and so different than how most people live. Feeling better can happen right now. It’s not dependent on other people changing or the planets aligning.

And that’s because it’s not circumstances, but your thoughts about circumstances that create your experience. And since your thoughts create your feelings, choosing your thoughts is how you feel better.

This means if you think on purpose, you can create those feelings at the high end of the emotional scale that feel so good.

And since you attract what you think about and feel, this is the key to getting the results you want in your life. This is the key to leverage Law of Attraction so it works to your advantage.

  • Step 1: Feel good NOW
  • Step 2: Feeling good, by Law of Attraction, helps you get what you want—because like attracts like.

So there’s just no downside to using Law of Attraction with intention. You get the thing you were after AND you feel good in the process. It’s win-win.

Stop going upstream

But we live in a culture that’s about hustle, hard work, striving, busy as a badge of honor. It’s all very upstream. It’s efforting. It’s massive action.

I want you to consider going downstream. That’s what Law of Attraction is all about.

I want you to stop paddling your canoe so hard against the current trying to go upstream. Let your intuition turn your canoe around and then take inspired action. That’s going downstream.

I want you to create space in your life for the Universe to flow to you. If you’re life is too full up with obligations, To Dos, commitments, calendar appointments, and busyness, there’s no space for flow. Nothing new can get in.

Which makes me wonder: What if you took half of what’s on your plate off? And then allowed the Universe to flow something amazing to you. Just think about that.
