I’m going to cut to the chase and tell you the LoA thing I do every single day.

Without fail, every day, I reach for the relief of better-feeling thoughts. Or as Abraham says: “Right now I’m going to find the best-feeling thought that I can. I am going to reach for more relief, more relief, more relief.”

Are you surprised or not surprised that reaching for the best-feeling thought is the LoA thing I do daily?

Well, it should come as no surprise because that is really at the crux of making Law of Attraction work for you.

  • If you are very low on the emotional scale, let’s say at fear or insecurity, reaching for relief is the answer.
  • If you are in the middle of the emotional scale feeling frustration or impatience, reaching for relief is the answer.
  • And even if you are feeling eagerness or positive expectation, so at the top of the emotional scale, the way to milk that moment of high vibration is to continue finding the best-feeling thought that you can.

Why is this important? Why do you want to reach for relief?

On the one hand, simply because relief is going to feel like…well, relief! Relief is going to feel better. And feeling better is going to feel good.

The other reason you want to reach for relief is Law of Attraction responds to your vibration.

  • When you feel insecurity, LoA responds to your vibration of insecurity.
  • When you feel frustration, LoA responds to your vibration of frustration.

And by responds, I mean matches you with circumstances and conditions that are of the essence of whatever vibration you are offering.

Let’s follow that thread.

When you feel frustration, that’s your vibrational point of attraction. Law of Attraction comes along and delivers circumstances and conditions, people and events, situations and things that match the essence of frustration.

In other words, you will have more in your life experience to give you an opportunity to continue feeling frustration.

You receive what you give vibrationally. Giving frustration with your vibration means you’ll receive the essence of frustration in your life experience.

Obviously not what any of us wants!

And so when you are feeling frustration, as in you are thinking thoughts that are causing a feeling of frustration in you, that’s when you want to notice the negative emotion and reach for relief.

If you don’t want to attract circumstances and conditions that are of the essence of whatever negative emotion you are feeling, then you want to reach for relief.

It’s really that straightforward.

Negative emotion is always a signal. And it’s a signal you are mis-creating. Which means negative emotion is an opportunity to reach for relief.

The way that you do this is really quite simple. We often overcomplicate what it means to feel better. We often confuse what needs to happen, as in we think circumstances must change in order to feel better.

Abraham says: “…we want you to find relief in the power of your changing of focus and not need the relief to depend on circumstances changing.”

Just think about the creative power you have when you embrace this core tenet of LoA. Find relief in the power of changing your focus and changing your thoughts rather than depending on external circumstances to change in order to feel relief.

The way forward when you feel negative emotion is not complicated. I encourage you to embrace Abraham’s simple and straightforward guidance: “Right now I’m going to find the best-feeling thought that I can. I am going to reach for more relief, more relief, more relief.”

Find the best-feeling thought that you can.

I love the grace of this advice. It doesn’t say you have to choose a single perfect thought to feel better. It doesn’t say find the thought that takes you immediately to joy on the emotional scale.

Simply find the best-feeling thought that you can.

“Always head toward the next best feeling thought you can find from where you are.” —Abraham

Again, there’s a lot of grace being offered with this wisdom.

Let me shine a light on the part about from where you are.

From where you are right now. Whatever circumstances and conditions are your current life experience. From where you are on the emotional scale.

  • If you are feeling powerlessness, #22 of 22 on the emotional scale, start there.
  • If you are feeling anger at #17 on the emotional scale, start there.
  • If some really unwanted thing is happening in your life, start from where you are.

It really is the only way. From where you are is really the only place you can start. And then from where you are, head toward the next best-feeling thought you can find, and then the next.

One of the reasons this is such good advice is when you are feeling powerlessness at the very bottom of the emotional scale, you don’t have access to thoughts of empowerment, which is in the #1 spot on the scale. And so you won’t find thoughts of empowerment from where you are.

That’s not bad news though.

It simply means as you head toward the next best-feeling thought, you can incrementally move up the emotional scale. As you head toward the next best-feeling thought, and then the next, and then the next, you will gain access to new and different thoughts through this process of relief.

As your vibration raises, even ever so slightly, from that new vantage point you have access to more relief with the next thought, and more relief with the next thought, and so on.

“If you are able to find even the smallest feeling of relief in a deliberately chosen thought, the gentle path toward your solution will begin.” —Abraham

Some days, feeling good is so easy.

I start the day feeling good and all throughout the day circumstances and conditions line up with my good-feeling thoughts. It’s like all the lights are green and the sun is shining just for me.

I milk those moments and days by appreciating them so very much and by really, really noticing all the delight and wonder. Like I said, it’s easy to feel good on days like those.

While you might not say I’m seeking relief on those kinds of days, I am still finding the best-feeling thought that I can.

And then there are other kinds of days.

Days where circumstances and conditions are not wanted and I’m using those external things to be out of alignment. Another way to say that: There are days when I’m looking at what are neutral circumstances and thinking thoughts about them that cause me to feel negative emotion.

And when that happens, here’s what I do. First things first: I notice the negative emotion. If you aren’t paying attention to how you feel, it’s very difficult to really leverage Law of Attraction.

So I notice I’m feeling negative emotion. I know that it is my thoughts causing my feelings. Which means my next thought is where I have power. It’s my next thought that can give me relief or can continue to add momentum to the negative emotion I’m experiencing.

It is with my next thought—and then the next and the next—that I can head in the direction of relief.

“Get hooked on asking: ‘Which thought feels better?’ Let the feeling of relief become what is most important to you.” —Abraham

That is why this is the LoA thing I do every day.

Feeling good is my #1 priority. I am indeed hooked on asking myself, “Which thought feels better? And now which thought feels better?” And so on.

“Don’t seek healing, just seek relief. Don’t seek improvement, just seek relief. Don’t seek solution, just seek relief.” —Abraham

Embrace and practice the essential LoA skill of finding the best-feeling thought you can.

Reach for relief. Then more relief and more relief.

Say this to yourself: I want relief. Relief can and will come with a new and different thought. What thought would give me relief?

“The feeling of relief, that is the name of the game.” —Abraham
