there’s a dish in the sink
a load of dirty laundry
a bill waiting to be paid
a cluttered closet
there will always be more productivity to be squeezed out of a day
so if you are waiting
to sit down

to connect with those you love
to laugh
to play
to make eye contact
to be present
to be
until it’s all done
you’ll be waiting a very long time
as in forever
