How to Think Better: time
Let’s talk about time. Specifically, I want to talk about two ways you might be lowering your point of attraction because of your relationship with time.

Those two ways can be summed up with: There’s not enough time and Why is what I want taking so long?

Do you recognize yourself in either of these ways of thinking about time? For instance…

Do you talk about not enough time? Not enough time to get things done, not enough time to do everything you want to do? Are you stressed in relation to time?

Do you complain that what you want is taking too long to manifest? Have you given the Universe a deadline for your desire—and according to you things are not on track? Are you feeling the friction of your timeline not being meet?

These mindsets about time lower your point of attraction. Let’s look at why.

We’ll start with There’s just not enough time.

This might sound like:

  • There aren’t enough hours in the day.
  • I never have enough time for all there is to do.
  • I need to manage my time better.

My clients, who have this relationship with time, tell me thoughts like these cause a feeling of overwhelm. Overwhelment is #11 on the emotional scale.

The emotional scale is that list of emotions numbered 1 to 22. At the top of the scale are high vibe emotions. At the bottom of the scale are low vibe emotions. And then in the middle, we have gunky emotions like overwhelment.

You attract what you are a vibrational match to. When the vibration you offer is overwhelment, you attract more circumstances and conditions, more events and situations, more people and things that match up to your vibration of overwhelment.

This is why those who hold the belief there isn’t enough time attract more and more evidence of this belief. In other words, the reality they attract reflects their belief that there isn’t enough time.

It’s self-perpetuating. I’m so busy, and I’m stressed and overwhelmed because there’s just not enough time—and there’s not enough time so I’m so busy and stressed and overwhelmed.

Bottom line: Your belief that there isn’t enough time is reinforced by the reality that shows up.

“If you are feeling a shortage of time or money, your best effort would be to focus upon better-feeling thoughts, and do more things that make you feel good. Your time is a perceptual thing, and even though the clock is ticking the same for everyone, your alignment affects your perception, as well as the results that you allow.” —Abraham

Abraham is so spot-on here that your time is a perceptual thing. Yes, we all have the same 24 hours in a day, but your beliefs about time absolutely affect your experience of time.

The thought there isn’t enough time doesn’t feel good. The belief that there isn’t enough time creates a reality that matches up. There is no upside to this thought. It doesn’t feel good and it lowers your point of attraction, creating a reality that matches up to the gunky vibration of overwhelment.

“A feeling of being overwhelmed is your indicator that you are denying yourself access to all manner of cooperation that could assist you if you were not disallowing them. As you begin to feel freer regarding the expenditure of time and money, doors will open, people will come to assist you, refreshing and productive ideas will occur to you, and circumstances and events will unfold. As you change the way you feel, you access the Energy that creates worlds. It is there for your ready access at all times.” —Abraham

When you feel overwhelmed, it means you are cutting yourself off from the support of the Universe. That most certainly lowers your point of attraction.

The belief there is enough time allows in the support of the Universe. The cooperative components. The delightful unfolding. That is an ideal point of attraction.

The invitation is this: If your relationship with time causes you to feel overwhelment, will you change the way you feel about time? Meaning, will you change your thoughts and beliefs about time?

Let’s move on to what you want not happening on your timeline.

This might sound like:

  • Why is what I want taking so long?
  • I need it to happen soon.
  • When will I get what I want?

Why is it taking so long to achieve the goal or acquire the shiny penny? When you think your desired manifestation is taking too long, you feel impatience.

Impatience is #10 on the emotional scale. While you’re not at the bottom of the emotional scale, so you might not feel horrible, impatience is another one of those gunky middle of the emotional scale emotions. Quite simply, impatience doesn’t feel good.

Once again, what you attract from the middle of the emotional scale is more of the same. When you feel impatient, you attract more circumstances and conditions, more events and situations, more people and things that match up to your vibration of impatience.

That’s not what you want, right? Of course not!

The reality this creates can be particularly vexing because you are feeling impatient for your manifestation to happen faster, happen sooner—and yet your impatience is actually keeping your desire from manifesting. Impatience begets more to be impatient about.

“The amount of time it takes you to get from where you are to where you want to be, is only the amount of time it takes you to change the vibration within you. Instant manifestation could be yours if you could instantly change the vibration.” —Abraham

The amount of time it takes really isn’t time at all. It’s not about whether what you want will manifest in six weeks or six months. Time isn’t the factor. Vibration is the factor. Vibration is the influence that contributes to a result or outcome.

Let me say that again: Vibration, not time, is influencing when your manifestation happens. This means it’s not about looking at a clock or calendar to gauge the timing of what you want.

Instead, it’s about looking inward at your vibration. It is about paying attention to your vibration. It’s about thinking thoughts and holding beliefs about the timing of your manifestation that feel good to you.

We often think the way forward is with action.

You think there’s not enough time for everything you want to do, and you think the solution is to take action. To take action on your To Do list. To be more productive.

You think what you want isn’t happening fast enough, and you think the solution is to take action. Take action toward your goal. Take action to make what you want happen.

Action is not the answer when you are feeling the overwhelm of not enough time or the impatience of your desire taking too long to manifest.

Your work, your real work, is about your vibration. Before you take action in the physical world to get things done and make things happen, clean up your vibration.

Remember, overwhelment and impatience are in the middle of the emotional scale. It is absolutely possible for you to move up and get higher on the emotional scale.

With just a few—or perhaps even one—new and different and improved thought about time, you can get relief. You can raise your vibration. You can improve your point of attraction.

“It doesn’t take time it just takes alignment.” —Abraham

I encourage you to take a look at your current thoughts and beliefs about time. What are they? And how do your current beliefs about time make you feel?

If you are already at the high end of the emotional scale with your beliefs about time, then you may not have any vibrational work to do on this subject.

However, if your thoughts about time create emotions in you that are lower on the emotional scale—really anything below boredom at #8—you have an opportunity to improve your point of attraction.

And remember the payoff—by improving your point of attraction, you will manifest with much greater ease.

I’ll leave you with a few of my beliefs about time. Now, you certainly don’t have to have these exact same beliefs. I’m sharing these as examples of thoughts about time that cause me to feel good—cause me to feel empowerment and freedom—two of the highest vibe emotions.

  • I believe there is plenty of time for what I want to do.
  • I believe the Universe has my back when it comes to the timing of my manifestations.
  • I believe my thoughts about time create an experience of time expanding.
  • I believe in enjoying the journey to what I want.

What about you? What are your thoughts and beliefs about time? How do your thoughts and beliefs about time make you feel? Do you have an opportunity to improve your point of attraction by embracing new beliefs about time?
