OK, let’s start with: What on earth is the Vortex?
This is an Abraham term. And I’ll admit, in the beginning of my obsession with Law of Attraction, I had a very fuzzy understanding of what the Vortex is—and I didn’t much care for the term. It sounded flaky and just didn’t resonate.
Of course, so much has changed. Abraham can do no wrong and I now love the concept.
I imagine there are others who either feel no connection to the word or perhaps even have an aversion to it. If that’s you, here’s what I encourage: Don’t get hung up on the word Vortex. Instead, embrace the concept.
The Vortex is simply a metaphor for understanding a Law of Attraction concept. What we call it isn’t important, but being able to use the concept to your advantage is.
Here’s how I’ve come to understand the Vortex.
Very simply, the Vortex is where everything you want is.
Abraham uses the term Vortex to help us understand where our wants and desires “live” before they manifest. Your Vortex is where all your desired manifestations are vibrationally before they manifest in the physical realm.
The Vortex holds everything you’ve asked for—vibrationally. You can’t see it or touch it yet, but it’s there.
Remember one of the core concepts of Law of Attraction is when you ask, it is given. The Universe automatically and immediately creates what you ask for.
So what you have asked for exists as a vibrational reality. But, what you have asked for lives in this vibrational Vortex until you match up with it.
To bring a possibility that exists in the quantum field into your reality in a touch it, see it, smell it, taste it way, you have to get in the Vortex. You have to become a vibrational match to what you’ve asked for. You have to get in alignment.
Is this sounding familiar? It should.
Because we’re really back to Law of Attraction 101. We’re back to alignment being the way you manifest what you want in life.
To get the things you want—the shiny pennies, the goals, the experiences, the states of being—to get anything and everything you want requires you to get in the Vortex. To line up vibrationally with the vibration of what’s in your Vortex.
Let me say it another way: Everything you want is waiting for you in your Vortex. It’s already there.
“Each time your physical life experience causes you to ask for something, a Vibrational, rocketlike request shoots forward and is received by your Inner Being and becomes the Vibrational, expanded version of your request. In order to help you get a sense of that process of expansion, we have called it your Vibrational Escrow or your Vibrational Reality. It is the furthermost, expanded version of you.” —The Vortex
So the Vortex is everything you want, waiting for you.
Your wants and desires—everything you’ve asked for—is being held in this Vibrational Escrow.
“When the Law of Attraction, the Universal manager of all Vibrations, responds to the clarity of Vibration offered by your newly expanded Inner Being, the result is a powerful swirling Vortex of attraction.” —The Vortex
When you’re in the Vortex, you are in vibrational alignment with your desires. How cool is that?
You’re at one with who you really are. You feel inspired, at ease, and in flow. Your questions are answered, you know what to do next, things come together.
When you’re in the Vortex, you have an attitude of “All is well”, you experience emotions on the high end of the emotional scale, like appreciation, love, and happiness.
Being in the Vortex is high vibe; it’s a positively aligned state of being. You are satisfied with what is and you are eager for more.
- If you’re joyful and happy, and eager, you’re in the Vortex.
- If you’re irritated, unhappy, and resistant, you’re not in the Vortex.
“So here is this Vortex of becoming—a Vortex that contains all of the requests, all of the amended requests, each and every detail of each and every asking that has emanated from you—and the Law of Attraction is responding to that. Envision this swirling, swirling, swirling Vortex and the power of attraction that is amassed as the Law of Attraction responds to this pure, non resisted, focused desire.” —The Vortex
That gives me goosebumps!
When you’re in the Vortex, you’re lined up vibrationally with what you want.
You’re up to speed with who you really are.
The Vortex is where inspiration is greatest and ideas come at the right time. The Vortex is where the path reveals itself and dreams come true.
There’s a great expression from Abraham: “If you pay the price of happiness, the manifestation will come. We promise.”
If you pay the price of happiness. Oh my gosh—that’s a price I’m more than willing to pay, aren’t you?
The price to get into the Vortex—and to line up with everything you want to manifest—is happiness.
You get in the Vortex by feeling good and being happy. By finding reasons to smile and focusing on positive aspects. By appreciating.
It’s a vibrational state of being.
“Beyond the five physical senses that you are actively aware of, there is another less-realized sense—the sense of emotion.” —Abraham
Just think about that. You generally trust what comes to you through your five senses—what you see, what you touch. But that less-realized sense, the sense of emotion, is just as important—if not more so.
Happiness and all the juicy emotions at the high end of the emotional scale are the price you pay and the pathway to gain entry into the Vortex.
I want you to get in the Vortex. And I’m going to give you a couple different approaches to do just that.
Abraham says: “How do you get in the Vortex? You reach for the best feeling thought you can find.”
Well, one way to reach for the best feeling thought you can find and focus on something that gives you access to the Vortex is by asking and answering a Vortex-inspiring question.
Such as…
- What’s right about this?
- What do I love about him/her?
- What’s great about this moment?
- What do I appreciate?
- What made me feel excited or inspired today?
- What do I feel positive expectation about?
- What are 3 reasons to feel good right now?
- What was most pleasing about today?
- Wouldn’t it be nice if…?
- What is the positive story I would tell about my day?
These questions will help you reach for the best feeling thought you can find.
Really give it a try. Spend a few minutes answering one or more of these questions. Because by doing so, you’re focusing on positive aspects, you’re raising your vibration, and you’re moving into the Vortex.
Of course, my list of questions isn’t exhaustive. By all means, add your own Vortex-inspiring question to the list.
The point is: “The more you look for positive aspects, the more positive aspects will step forward to reveal themselves to you.” —Abraham
One of the things I love about questions like these is that they help you avoid the scenario where you have so much right in your life, but you’re not even noticing and appreciating all that’s right because you are overly focused on what’s wrong.
Or as Abraham says: “You have ten topics, and nine of them are just the way that you want them and one of them isn’t. Most people spend all their time asking the question about that one that isn’t, and they hold that one in suspended animation.”
Does that resonate? Are most things in your life great, but you can’t seem to stop focusing on this one thing, this one area, that’s not? Because that holds you in suspended animation and keeps you out of the Vortex.
Let go of focusing on what you don’t like and don’t want. Get into the Vortex by focusing on what you do want and do like.
“When I’m in the Vortex I feel ease about life. When I am in the Vortex it’s like the Universe cooperates with me. When I’m in the Vortex I know my goodness, because it sort of surrounds me.” —Abraham
In addition, let me share a few ideas for how you can consciously and deliberately achieve the vibrational frequency of your Vortex.
- Take a walk
- Get a massage
- Read an inspirational book
- Buy fresh flowers
- Go on a Rampage of Appreciation
- Savor a delicious meal
- Meditate
- Listen to music and dance
- Declutter a drawer
- Watch a funny movie and laugh
- Give and get a hug
- Notice and appreciate nature
- Pet a dog or cat
- Take a nap
- Listen to Abraham on YouTube
- Soak in a bubble bath
- Do a random act of kindness
- Make something
Did you notice the ideas I shared for getting in the Vortex could also be found on a list of suggestions for self-care?
That’s because self-love, self-appreciation is a pathway to the Vortex.
Quite simply: You can’t get into the Vortex when you’re overwhelmed, stressed out, and full of negative self-talk.
“The key to getting inside your Vibrational Vortex of Creation; of experiencing the absolute absence of resistance; of achieving complete alignment with all that you have become and all that you desire, and of bringing to your physical experience everything that you desire—is being in the state of appreciation—and there is no more important object of attention to which you must flow your appreciation than that of self.” —Abraham
Ohhhhh….that last part is a stumbling block for many of us. “There is no more important object of attention to which you must flow your appreciation than that of self.”
Here’s what that means: You cannot practice appreciation and exclude yourself. It just doesn’t work. You will still have a huge amount of resistance in your vibration.
And that resistance will most certainly keep you out of the Vortex. Which means, it keeps the things you want from manifesting in the physical realm.
Don’t make a big deal out of the Vortex—as far as thinking it’s challenging to get into.
It’s not. It is attainable and getting into this aligned, high-vibe state can be as simple as appreciating the birds singing outside your window or your colleague making you laugh every day at the office.
“The Vortex is attainable, and it’s attainable today. The Vortex is attainable, and it’s attainable in 5 minutes. The Vortex is attainable. It’s not a big dream.” —Abraham
Look for opportunities to move into the Vortex. Even if it’s only in short amounts of time. And when you’re in there, in that feeling good place aligned with Source energy, milk it for all it’s worth.
“You are good. Good is coming to you. You deserve the good that is coming. Give up the battle. Give up the struggle. Give up the competitiveness. Give it all up. Accept the goodness that is in your Vortex. Let it flow into your experience.” —Abraham
