I remember the first time I heard Abraham say, “It is as easy to create a castle as a button.”
Hmmmm…. A castle? A button? Just as easy to create one as the other? How is that possible? How can that be true?
We have been taught and trained otherwise, right? We have been told that the “small stuff” is easy to create. But the big stuff…well, that’s a whole other story.
What’s interesting is what each of us puts in the small stuff column versus the big stuff column.
For one person, finding a life partner or having financial abundance might be in the big stuff column. Or perhaps she would put a healthy body or career satisfaction in that column. Those are the proverbial castles.
While another person might put money and career in the small stuff column. Financial abundance and career satisfaction have always come easily, so there’s no story around those being difficult to create. Those are buttons, not castles.
My point is most of us have decided, whether we realize it or not, that some of our desires are castles and some are buttons. But here’s the thing: Differentiating like that does not serve you.
“When you understand the Laws, then you understand that it is not more difficult to create a castle than it is a button. They are equal. It is not more difficult to create $10 million than $100,000. It is the same application of the same Law to two different intentions.” —Abraham
They are equal. Yes, they are different intentions, different desires, but the same Law of Attraction applies.
Now, if that’s the case, why isn’t everyone going around creating castles and creating $10 million dollars?
Here’s why: Because in most people’s minds, a castle and a button are not equal. Manifesting a free cup of coffee or a parking spot near the entrance, sure. Those “buttons”, so to speak, are perceived as easy to manifest.
But in most of our minds, we are making “bigger things” unequal.
We are, in essence, saying the Law of Attraction applies to the small, to the easy, to the inconsequential, to the buttons—but not to the castles.
But Law of Attraction is a Universal Law. It’s not a Law of Some Things, But Not Others. It’s not a Law of Small Stuff, Not Big Stuff.
It’s not that the Law of Attraction works for some desires and not others. That’s not it at all. The Law of Attraction is always at work and treats all your desires as equal.
The Law of Attraction doesn’t balk at the bigness of what you desire.
But…perhaps you do. Do you say things like:
- I don’t know if what I want is really possible.
- Maybe this is just wishful thinking.
- I just know what I want will be hard to manifest.
- I’m really not sure HOW what I want could happen.
Thoughts like those don’t give the Universe enough credit. Thoughts like those reflect a misunderstanding about how Law of Attraction works.
Everything is possible. Thoughts become things. Nothing is hard for the Universe. You don’t need to know how in order for what you want to manifest.
But you do have to get in vibrational alignment with your desire.
Which means you do need to stop making castles out of your desires and thinking of them as super hard to manifest.
“When you believe something is hard, the Universe demonstrates the difficulty. When you believe something is easy, the Universe demonstrates the ease.” —Abraham
There is nothing to be gained by believing some of your desires are going to be hard to manifest. There’s simply no benefit to that way of thinking. And, in fact, you pay a big price when you believe this. Because the reality you experience will match up to your beliefs.
- You believe it’s hard, it’s hard.
- You believe it’s easy, it’s easy.
Let’s go back to what Abraham says. “It is as easy to create a castle as a button. It’s just a matter of whether you’re focused on a castle or a button.”
That means it’s not about the bigness or smallness of what you want. Rather, it’s just about your intention, your focus.
You would benefit from treating all your desired manifestations as equal.
Not dividing them into categories of big and small, hard and easy.
Now, how do you know if you are treating your desire as a difficult-to-manifest castle? In other words, how do you know if you are putting your desired manifestation on a sort of pedestal and therefore out of reach?
You will know because of the way you feel.
“When you want something that you believe, it feels good. But when you have a desire that you doubt, then that desire does not feel good because the vibrational content of your desire and the vibrational content of your belief does not match. Negative emotion is simply present when you are thinking in opposition to your own desire.” —Abraham
Here’s my question: Are you thinking in opposition to your own desire?
Think about what you want to manifest, and notice how you feel.
- Do you feel good when you think about what you want?
- Do you feel positive expectation and excitement?
- Do you have an inner knowing it’s just a matter of time before what you want manifests into form?
Is the vibrational content of your desire—so the vibration of your desire—and the vibrational content of your belief a match? In short, do you believe in what you want?
Or do you feel the negative emotion of doubt? If you’ve been thinking of your desire—whatever it is—as a difficult-to-manifest castle and doubting it will happen, then you are blocking your desired manifestation.
If you are doubting what you want, then you are disallowing what you want.
“You attract what you think, and you receive what you believe.” —Abraham
I know disallowing is not what you intend when you doubt. But if doubt equals disallowing, and it does, then think about what your doubt is doing.
It’s not benign. It’s not just, Oh well, I’m feeling really doubtful about what I want, but maybe that’s just to be expected…
No, your doubt is delaying or altogether derailing your manifestation. So it’s not harmless. It’s something you want to remove from your vibration.
Do you believe you can create castles as easily as buttons?
I love the various LoA card decks. Well, in the The Law of Attraction card deck, one card says: I can create castles as easily as buttons. That’s the affirmation, if you will.
I can create castles as easily as buttons.
Do you believe this is true? Do you believe it wholeheartedly? Whatever “castle” you are wanting, are you believing it is as easy to create as receiving that free cup of coffee or seeing the sign you asked the Universe to show you?
“You do not allow because you do not believe. What you believe regarding anything that you want is extremely important—for you will allow only within the boundaries of your beliefs. And so, in many cases, your beliefs must be altered to harmonize with your intentions.” —Abraham
What you believe about what you want is allowing or disallowing.
One or the other. Quite simply: Most of us need to expand the boundaries of our beliefs in order to manifest what we want.
Let’s say your version of a castle is your desire for a fulfilling romantic relationship. But you believe there are no good men out there.
Guess what? There are no good men out there for you.
Your belief must change for you to manifest this so-called “castle.”
It’s not because it’s a castle. It’s because you only allow within the boundaries of your beliefs. Castle or button. Either one, you only allow within the boundaries of your beliefs.
“Your path to the money you want, your path to the lover you want, the path to everything that you want has already been defined. You’re just wanting to put yourself in a place where you can receive it.” —Abraham
I want you to put yourself in a place to receive all the buttons and all the castles you desire.
Everything you believe about what you want is affecting when and how and if what you want manifests into form. Everything you believe.
“Everything you believe affects everything that comes to you.” —Abraham
That means all the stories you tell—to yourself and others. All the thoughts you think feelingly about what you desire are allowing or disallowing what you want to manifest.
Whatever it is you are wanting, is it worth it to you to clean up your beliefs about it?
It is as easy to create a castle as a button. So launch your desire, whatever it is. Don’t think in terms of big or small, hard or easy. Launch your desire and then align and allow.
Here are a five tips to help you align and allow.
- Stop differentiating between big wants and little wants. Embrace that Law of Attraction works the same for all your desires.
- Don’t make the castles you want out of reach. Are you making your desire too important and putting it on a pedestal? Lighten up about what you want, and make your desire the equivalent of a button.
- Stop pre-paving with hard and difficult. Have you been characterizing what you want as difficult to manifest? Perhaps telling a story that it’s hard to get what you want because of X, Y, or Z? There is no payoff for thinking what you want is difficult to manifest.
- Expand the boundaries of your beliefs. I think it’s helpful to ask yourself: What do I believe about what I want to manifest? Do my beliefs support what I’m wanting to create? Abraham says: “A belief is only a thought you continue to think; and when your beliefs match your desires, then your desires must become your reality.”
- Deal with doubt. Abraham says: “Doubt is the way you feel when you are focused in a way that is contrary to what you want.” Let’s say want to successfully launch your creative project, but doubt anyone will be interested or doubt you’ll get funding. That doubt is contrary to what you want. If you have doubt about your desire, deal with it. Because your doubt is most certainly in the way of what you want.
“When your vibration is a match to your desire, all things in your experience will gravitate to meet that match every time.” —Abraham
