Law of Attraction: Law of Attraction

I’m going to share 21 inspiring, thought-provoking Law of Attraction quotes. As always, my intention is to help you leverage the Law of Attraction in your own life.

So let’s begin!

“Most people are thinking about what they don’t want, and they’re wondering why it shows up over and over again.” —John Assaraf

The basis of Law of Attraction is like attracts like. So when you are focusing your attention on what you don’t like and don’t want, that is what shows up in your life.

When you’re thinking about what you don’t want, you feel negative emotion and are miscreating.

So if you’re complaining, finding fault, blaming, criticizing, or judging, you are diminishing your point of attraction, and actually attracting what you don’t want.

You have to take your attention off what you don’t want and put it on what you do want to create a life you love.

“We generally see that for which we look.” —William Walker Atkinson

Oh, so true!

When we look for what we want to see, we notice all sorts of positive aspects. But when we look at a situation through the lens of negativity, we see nothing but flaws and shortcomings and things we don’t like.

For instance, I want you to think about someone you love. Get that person front and center in your mind, in your heart. It’s easy to think of positive aspects about that person, isn’t it?

Now think about someone you’re not so crazy about. I’ll bet you could rattle off a laundry list of his or her shortcomings. In fact, you might be hard pressed to come up with much that you do like about them.

“We generally see that for which we look.” Which means one of the very best things you could ever do for yourself is move throughout your day looking for what you want to see.

Be intentional about focusing on positive aspects and feeling good. That will make you a magnet for attracting more of the good into your life.

“To bring anything into your life, imagine that it’s already there.” —Richard Bach

This is classic Law of Attraction. When you imagine that what you want to manifest is already in your life, you’re a vibrational match to your desire. And it’s only by being a vibrational match that you can manifest what you want.

So whatever it is you are wanting—the amazing relationship, the fulfilling career, the vibrant health—imagine you already have it. Think and speak and feel and act as if what you want is already here—and it will be.

“Circumstances do not determine state of being; state of being determines circumstances.” —Bashar

So many of us were raised to believe we need to get circumstances just so in order to be happy. Get the right job, make a certain amount of money, find the perfect relationship, buy the house.

It’s not that there’s anything wrong with any of those desires, but we’ve had the cart before the horse. It’s not the job or the money that brings happiness. Happiness brings the job and the money—or whatever your particular desire is.

Your state of being attracts or repels. And so if the circumstances of your life are not what you want them to be, change your state of being. That’s where the magic of manifestation is!

“What you believe, you receive.” —Gabrielle Bernstein

You can’t attract into your life and receive that which doesn’t line up with your beliefs. That’s why many of us find it difficult to manifest what we want. Our beliefs simply don’t support our desire.

For example, maybe you want financial abundance, but your underlying belief is money is the root of all evil or money is hard to come by. Whatever your belief is about money will be the reality that plays out in your life.

Desire alone isn’t enough. The formula is desire + belief.

Now, if you want to know what you’ve been believing, it’s very simple. Just look at what you’ve been receiving. Look around at your life. Because what you’ve manifested will shine a light on your beliefs.

“In ordinary life, we hardly realize that we receive a great deal more than we give, and that it is only with gratitude that life becomes rich.” —Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Appreciation is at the high end of the emotional scale. When you feel appreciation, you are at a frequency that attracts everything you want.

Appreciation really is what makes life rich both in terms of noticing all you do have and, by the Law of Attraction, attracting even more.

No matter what is going on in your life, there are things to appreciate. It’s up to you to turn your attention in that direction and look at your life through the lens of appreciation. I promise, you’ll be all the richer for it!

“The first essential, of course, is to know what you want.” —Robert Collier

I love that! Often when I’m working with a client, she realizes how confusing her order to the Universe is because she’s not clear about what she really wants.

She declares what she wants and then negates her desire by doubting it can really happen. Or she indulges in the confusion of I don’t know what I want.

If you are unsure or confused about what you want, that’s OK. You can only start where you are. But know this: Clarity about what you want is key to creating what you want.

“Whatever we think about and thank about we bring about.” —John Demartini

Such a simple but oh-so-powerful concept. Your thoughts have creative power. You get what you think about.

And you get what you thank about because thankfulness, appreciation, gratitude are all powerfully creative states of being.

When you think about the new relationship you want and you are thankful as if it’s already in your life, you can’t help but to receive what you want.

The question is: Are you intentional about your thoughts and your thankfulness?

“The ‘how’s’ are the domain of the universe. It always knows the shortest, quickest, fastest, most harmonious way between you and your dream.” —Mike Dooley

Oh, what a relief! I love knowing this.

I used to be all about the how’s. I thought it was my job to figure out each and every single one of them.

So I controlled and micromanaged. I let the Universe know I was in charge. And it was exhausting…and really not all that effective.

I didn’t know the how’s were the domain of the Universe. And so I missed out on inspired action and flow and serendipity. The Universe couldn’t conspire with me, and everything was so much harder than it needed to be.

Today I take to heart the Universe knows better than me when it comes to the how’s.

What about you? Are you letting the Universe conspire with you for the shortest, quickest, fastest, most harmonious way to what you want?

“You do not have a problem except the one that is in your own mind, and you put it there!” —Myrtle Fillmore

I have totally made this my mantra! You do not have a problem, Jennifer, except the one you’re creating with your thoughts.

Just recently I went to the dentist for what I thought was the last of my Invisalign, these aligners I’ve been wearing for the last six plus months to straighten my teeth. I was on what I thought was the last set of trays, and was so excited to move on to the next phase, which is three months of retainers.

Well, the dentist took a look at my progress and said, Nope, not yet. It looks like another 60 days wearing these aligners.

Let me tell you: I was a big ball of icky emotions when I heard that. I thought, But I’m supposed to be done today. I want to be on to the next phase. This isn’t what’s supposed to be happening.

For about 10 minutes there at the dentist office, I was in a downward spiral of misalignment, feeling discouraged and disappointed. And just kind of generally ticked off that what I wanted wasn’t happening.

Then I remembered Myrtle’s words: Jennifer, you do not have a problem except the one that is in your own mind, and you put it there.

It isn’t a problem I have 60 more days of wearing these aligners—unless I make it a problem. The next 60 days can be every bit of wonderful if I don’t create a problem out of the situation.

I encourage you to try this one out. Embrace you do not have any problems except the ones in your own mind that you put there.

“Every time you don’t follow your inner guidance, you feel a loss of energy, loss of power, a sense of spiritual deadness.” —Shakti Gawain

We’ve all experienced that sinking feeling of self-betrayal when we fail to listen to our own intuition.

Because when you disregard your inner wisdom, you disconnect yourself from a wise and loving part of you that is wholly encouraging and always vibrating at the level of the solution.

Which means anytime you ignore your inner voice, you pay a price.

Have you been ignoring your inner guidance and looking outside yourself for answers?

Maybe you’ve been living by committee or looking to experts to tell you what to do. Perhaps you’ve been comparing yourself to others or seeking approval.

Looking outside yourself for answers very likely means you’re not following your own inner guidance.

“Do not waste one moment in regret, for to think feelingly of the mistakes of the past is to re-infect yourself.” —Neville Goddard

  • Do you spend time thinking about the past and what you wish had been different?
  • Do you talk about your past hurts and disappointments?

Because if you do, you’re recreating the essence of your past in your present. Or, as Neville puts it, you’re re-infecting yourself, which doesn’t sound good at all, does it?

Your only power to create is right here, right now—in this present moment. But if you’re thinking about the past right here, right now, then that’s what’s being activated.

Don’t waste your precious creative power. Create something new, something wanted, something wonderful.

“Thoughts of lack manifest as limitation. Thoughts of abundance manifest as success and happiness. Failure and success are but two ends of the stick.” —Ernest Holmes

I first heard the stick analogy from Abraham, and it’s made such a difference in my own understanding of how we have something we want on the one hand and the lack of it on the other hand—and we can’t pick up the stick without picking up both ends.

And since both ends of the stick—what we want and the absence of it—are always going to be there, we have to be really clear about which we’re activating with our attention and focus.

Make sure you’re activating the end of the stick that leads to the manifestation you want.

“The world will persist in exhibiting before you what you persist in affirming the world is.” —Emma Curtis Hopkins

You create your own reality. If you think the world is a scary and dangerous place, it is. If you think the world is a loving and creative place, it is.

When you wake up on the proverbial wrong side of the bed and then expect the worst from the day, you’re guaranteed to experience just that.

Likewise, when you move through your day expecting good things and intentionally looking for what you want to see, that’s the experience you create.

Law of Attraction is like a mirror, reflecting back to you people, circumstances, and events on the same frequency. Showing you a world that reflects your thoughts and beliefs.

Affirm the life you want. Affirm it with the thoughts you think and the words you speak. Affirm it with your feelings and the actions you take.

“You are only one thought away from a good feeling.” —Sheila Krystal

To really leverage the Law of Attraction in your life, you have to be aware of how you feel. And you have to be able to reach for the relief of a better-feeling thought.

When I had all those negative thoughts at the dentist and headed into a downward spiral of misalignment, it was one-better feeling thought at a time that turned me around in the direction of alignment.

Because, as Sheila says, I was only one thought way from a good feeling.

Relief is such a powerful emotion. And no matter where you stand right now, you can reach for the relief of a better-feeling thought and move up the emotional scale.

“Live in the cheerful world, even if you have to create such a world in your own imagination.” —Christian D. Larson

I like the idea of a cheerful world. It feels good.

Here’s the thing: Attention to what-is only creates more of what-is. Which means if you look around at your world and don’t like what you see, you need to start imagining a cheerful world, a pleasing world, a world to your liking.

If the reality around you, the what-is you are living is not cheerful, that’s OK. Just create the world you want in your imagination.

“The only path by which another person can upset you is through your own thought.” —Joseph Murphy

Many of us have said to someone, You hurt my feelings. Or You made me feel bad.

Does that sound familiar? Believe me, I’m raising my hand. I know I’ve said those things. But that was before my obsession with Law of Attraction.

These days I really embrace what Joseph Murphy says. No one else can hurt my feelings. No one else can make me feel bad.

But I can hurt my feelings. I can make myself feel bad. And I do that by the thoughts I’m thinking.

It all comes back to circumstances being neutral. And circumstances include what other people do or don’t do.

Circumstances are always neutral. It is your thoughts about those circumstances that are are the cause of your feelings. Only your thoughts about what someone is doing or not doing can upset you.

“Whatever you hold in your mind on a consistent basis is exactly what you will experience in your life.” —Tony Robbins

Our beliefs are self-fulfilling. If you think you can, you can. If you think you can’t, you can’t.

Always remember: A belief is just a thought you’ve been thinking a lot. A belief is just a practiced thought.

Tony is talking about the thoughts you’ve been practicing in your mind. The thoughts you’ve had over and over to the point you take them as “truth”.

But any thought you have on a consistent basis will become your truth, your reality.

The problem is when you practice thoughts that don’t serve you. Thoughts like:

  • I’m not good enough.
  • I’m not worthy.
  • I’m not smart enough.
  • I don’t have what it takes.

Let’s work backwards. First, decide what you want to experience in your life. Then, ask yourself: What would I need to believe to create that reality? What thoughts would I need to practice on a consistent basis?

“You ask the Universal Supply and then sigh, ‘I’ll not get it.’” —Florence Scovel Shinn

Do you negate what you want with your doubt? Do you say, I want a new job, but then worry it won’t happen.

When you ask and then sigh, saying I’ll not get it, you are absolutely right.

The key is to want, to ask, and then to line up vibrationally so you can receive. Which means…

  • Having faith that what you want is coming.
  • Thinking, speaking, feeling, and acting as if what you want is here.
  • Appreciating what you desire in advance of receiving it in the physical realm.

Stop negating what you want with doubt and uncertainty. Enjoy the expectancy of what you want.

“Givers get given to.” —Russell Simmons

It’s really this simple: By Law of Attraction, whatever you give, you receive. If you give love, you get love. If you give positivity, you get positivity.

But when you give negativity, you’ll get more circumstances, situations, people, events, and things in your life to feel negative about.

You want to give on the frequency of love. You want to be a giver of all that you want to receive.

“Belief in limitation is the one and only thing that causes limitation.” —Thomas Troward

A belief is simply a thought you keep thinking. It’s not etched in stone.

These days I never think of a belief in terms of whether or not it’s “true”. And I don’t give special weight to certain beliefs because of where they came from or how long I’ve had them.

Instead, I simply ask if the belief serves me. Does it enhance me and my life?

  • If the answer is “yes”, that’s a thought I want to keep on thinking.
  • If the answer is “no”, then I don’t want to keep practicing that thought.

I promise, it really doesn’t need to be more complicated than that.
