Manifesting & Deliberate Creation: vibration

“It’s not enough to be clear about what you want. You need to be a vibrational match to what you want.” —Abraham

Hmmm…a vibrational match. This is where we often get it wrong.

Have you even thought about your vibration? And have you thought about your vibration in relation to what you want to manifest?

Because too many of us are not getting what we want—and our vibration is the reason.

“You cannot receive vibrationally something that you are not a vibrational match to.” —Abraham

Often there is a vibrational gap between how you’re feeling and what you want.

In other words, a vibrational gap between what you’re feeling right now and how you’ll feel when you lose the weight or buy the new house or take the fantastic trip.

And guess what? That vibrational gap is actually what delays your manifestation or can derail it altogether.

Whatever you think about activates a vibration within you. And that vibration needs to be a match to what you want.

That’s why it’s so important to think about what your manifestation will feel like because you have to be a vibrational match to what you want in order to get it.

Manifestation simply refers to what you are creating with your thoughts and feelings.

In terms of what you want, the manifestation might be a goal you want to achieve or shiny penny you want to acquire. Your manifestation could be an experience you want to have or state of being you want to embody.

Whatever it is you are wanting, when it shows up, that would be your manifestation.

But sometimes what you are manifesting is not what you want. In fact, perhaps you are manifesting the continued absence of what you really want or the opposite of what you want.

Either way—positive or negative, wanted or unwanted—your thoughts and feelings are creating the manifestations in your life.

  • If you want good health and vitality, but your vibration is one of sickness and complaint, then you hold yourself apart from the wellness you want.
  • If you want prosperity, but your vibration is one of scarcity and lack, then you hold yourself apart from the financial abundance you want.

Is there a vibrational gap between how you’re feeling and what you want?

“If you ever want to know what the vibrational content of your outpouring is, just look at the manifesting around you, because the manifesting around you is always a perfect vibrational match to the vibration that is dominant within you.” —Abraham

By that, Abraham means the feelings you most commonly experience, your emotional set-point, your go-to emotional attitude for showing up in the world.

Abraham is saying that what you’re giving out will be a match for what you’re receiving. And if you’re unsure what you’re giving out, just look at what you’re receiving and you’ll know. Because those are always going to be a match.

“Every action of giving creates an opposite action of receiving and what you receive is always equal to what you’ve given. Whatever you give out in life, must return to you.” —Rhonda Byrne

That’s why it’s important to consider how your desired manifestation will feel. Because the only way to create what you want is to feel now—right now—how you’ll feel when the manifestation occurs.

“Our outer world will always be a reflection of our inner world.” —Hal Elrod

To manifest what you want, you have to feel now how you’ll feel when you get what you want. You have to feel in advance of your manifestation and match up vibrationally.

There are two ways to match up vibrationally to what you want to manifest—one specific and one more general.

When it comes to these two options, one approach is not better or more effective than the other, so I encourage you to use the approach that speaks to you.

The first approach is to aim for the specific emotions associated with your desired manifestation.

By specific, I mean the particular emotions you’ll feel when what you want manifests. For instance, perhaps you’ll feel freedom and happiness when you achieve or get or experience what you want.

If so, then you want to find ways to feel freedom and happiness now—before the manifestation—because that’s what allows the manifestation to actually materialize.

A client recently used this approach, and it was very effective for her. She wanted to launch her own business, which meant leaving her long-time corporate job. Her desire was strong as was her belief in being able to successfully make this transition.

So her desired manifestation was to start a business and work for herself.

When I asked how she would feel when she’d started a business and was working for herself, she said, I’ll feel so confident and satisfied. I’ll feel inspired and thankful.

My client enthusiastically committed to offering a vibration that was a match to what she wanted to manifest. While still employed by her company and before the new business venture came into being, she dedicated herself to feeling confident, satisfied, inspired, and thankful.

My client took to heart what Abraham says: “The Universe doesn’t hear what you’re saying. It feels the vibration you are offering.”

By getting on the feeling frequency of having her own business, my client was able to manifest what she wanted—and do so with ease, confidence, and so much positive expectation and excitement.

You’ll recall I said there are two ways to match up vibrationally to what you want to manifest.

The second approach is more general. Rather than intending to feel a specific emotion, it’s about feeling good in general.

Because here’s the thing: How will you feel when you achieve your goal to lose 20 pounds or acquire the new house or take the trip to Europe? You’ll feel great, right?

So feeling great now—before you lose the weight, before you buy the house, before you book the trip—is the path to getting what you want.

“Everything that I think that I need to do, is all only in order to propel me to some place, that when I get there I think I will be happier. So, everything that I am doing, no matter what it is, all of my lists of rights and wrongs, are all about me getting to a manifestation, that I believe I will then be happier…So, why don’t I take a short cut and just be happy? —Abraham

Anything we want is because we think we will feel better in the having of it. We think we will feel good. This second approach is very much about taking the shortcut and being happy now, feeling good now.

Of course, there are many flavors of feeling good—joyful, excited, happy, appreciative—but regardless of the specific emotion, they are all high-vibe feelings, right?

So the second approach to knowing how your manifestation will feel is simply that it will feel good. So feel good now.

“The manifestation of the stuff follows precisely the manifestation of the emotion. That’s why we want so much for you to make the manifestation of emotion not just your main event, the only event that you’re focused upon.” —Abraham

Abraham is saying we can get to the place where we realize the emotion is the real payoff, not the stuff.

Either way, it’s a win-win. You feel good on your way to your manifestation and by feeling good, you create the conditions for the manifestation. Think about how perfect that is. Feel good and manifest what you want.

Let’s bring this back to the vibrational gap.

Whether you go specific or general, the key is to close that gap by aligning now with how your desired manifestation will feel.

“The gap between vibrationally becoming it and manifestationally becoming it—that gap has only to do with how long it takes you to get happy in the absence of the manifestation.” —Abraham

Because when you get happy in the absence of the manifestation, your manifestation will come.

Here’s the problem though: Often the vibration you offer is in response to the absence of what you want.

“If you’re looking only at what-is, so that your vibration is only reflecting what-is, then the Universe can only give you what-is.” —Abraham

Think about your vibration over the past 24 hours. Have you been offering a vibration in alignment with what you want to manifest? What about the past weeks or months?

It’s not enough to offer a vibration that matches what you want to manifest for only a brief moment in time. Law of Attraction is responding to your dominant vibration, so the way you feel on a consistent basis really does impact what you are able to manifest.

“We want you to savor the manifestation of the emotion. If you can enjoy the manifestation of the emotion, you’ll move fast to the manifestation of what you want.” —Abraham

It really is this simple: The Universe gives you what you offer vibrationally, so you have to be a vibrational match to what you want.

“The timing of manifestation depends on how much practice you give to feeling good versus the time you practice feeling bad. Say to yourself, ‘I’m on the path. It will reveal itself to me at the perfect time.’” —Abraham

To get on the path and match up to the vibration of what you want, use either approach I shared—specific or general.

Because as Abraham says: “When you feel it, it manifests.”

  • If you go specific and you’ll feel appreciative when you get the new house, how can you go ahead and feel appreciative now—before you manifest the house?
  • If you go general and you’ll feel great when you take the amazing vacation, how can you feel great now—before the manifestation?

“All you have to do is get into vibrational harmony with your desire, and your desire must be given to you. And the Universe will find endless ways of bringing it to you.” —Abraham
