Manifesting & Deliberate Creation: manifesting

I will always remember the moment I really understood Abraham’s take on the perfect creative stance. Meaning the perfect approach, the perfect attitude to manifesting whatever it is you want.

It was a game changer. One of those times you learn something, you really “get it”, and you know nothing is ever going to be the same.

Abraham says: “The perfect creative stance is satisfaction where I am and eagerness for more.”

Here’s the thing, many of us are eager for more. More money, more time. More love, more well-being. More travel, more fun. We are eager to acquire more shiny pennies and achieve more goals and have more amazing experiences.

Eagerness for more is not an issue for most of us.

Instead, it’s that first part that gives so many of us trouble. “Satisfaction where I am.” Abraham has also referred to this as satisfaction with what-is.

But how on earth can you be satisfied with where you are, with what-is when you don’t like where you are, when you want your what-is to be different, maybe even very different.

  • You don’t like your job. So you wouldn’t say you’re satisfied where you are.
  • You don’t like being single. So you don’t feel satisfied with what-is.
  • You don’t like the figure in your bank account. So you wouldn’t say you are satisfied where you are.

But if the perfect creative stance is this formula: Satisfaction where I am + eagerness for more, what does it mean about what you can create if you’re missing half the formula?

Well, here’s what it means: Deliberate creation is going to be a challenge. Manifesting with ease is going to be a challenge. It means you are probably doing Step 1 of manifesting—Ask, but you are not doing Step 3 of manifesting—Receive.

Satisfaction where you are—regardless of what-is—is key to being in receiving mode.

You can’t get to happy by focusing on all the “unhappy” conditions that surround you. You can’t create what you want when you are vibrating at dissatisfaction.

Now, let’s be clear: Dissatisfaction with what-is can clarify your preferences for what you want. That’s what’s known as contrast. So dissatisfaction clarifies what you want, but your dissatisfaction does not fuel creating what you want.

It is only when you align vibrationally with what is wanted, with what you do want, that you attract and create it.

When you are dissatisfied with your life as it is today and so you are offering the vibration of dissatisfaction, there’s a vibrational gap between you and what you want to create. As long as there is a vibrational gap between the vibration you are offering and the vibration of what you want to manifest, you won’t attract what you want.

That’s why Abraham says: “Just be satisfied and the Universe will yield to you all things that match that.”

Law of Attraction 101: Like attracts like. When you are dissatisfied and discontent, you attract on that frequency.

But when you are satisfied, when you are approaching your life from a state, a vibration of satisfaction, you attract on that frequency.

Just imagine the difference in what you are attracting depending on whether the vibration you offer is satisfaction or dissatisfaction.

Because remember, Abraham says the “perfect” creative stance. So you are, of course, creating when you are not satisfied with where you are, when you are not eager for more. But that is not deliberate, conscious creation. It’s not the perfect creative stance. It’s creating by default. It’s likely not creating what you want.

“The reason you want every single thing that you want, is because you think you will feel really good when you get there. But, if you don’t feel really good on your way to there, you can’t get there. You have to be satisfied with what-is while you’re reaching for more.” —Abraham

Let me share a real-life example of shifting to a more consciously creative stance.

Recently I started working with a new client who is dissatisfied with the business she’s created. It’s a few years in, and she’s feeling frustrated, angry, discouraged, hopeless, annoyed, defeated. In short, she is dissatisfied with the company she’s created.

When you’re in the midst of lousy-feeling emotions, it’s natural to want to take action, make decisions, change things—do a bunch of stuff to try to make the situation better so you can feel better.

My client, in particular, wanted to make a decision about how to move forward. She’d even come up with three possible options.

But she’s vibrating at the frequency of those low vibe emotions—frustration, discouragement, anger. She’s vibrating at the level of dissatisfaction.

I encouraged my client to raise her vibration before making any big decisions about her company. Remember: The solution is a different vibration than the problem. The vibration of satisfaction is fundamentally different than the vibration of dissatisfaction.

Raising her vibration means not only will my client feel better, but this higher vibration will give her access to clarity about moving forward. Focusing on what is right and is working about her current company will help my client be satisfied with what-is and clear the path for reaching for more.

“That is the optimal creative vantage point: To stand on the brink of what is coming, feeling eager, optimistic anticipation—with no feeling of impatience, doubt, or unworthiness hindering the receiving of it.” —Abraham.

Are you being impatient about manifesting what you want? Are you doubting? Are you feeling unworthy of receiving what you want?

Because if you answer yes to any of those, then you have work to do when it comes to the perfect creative stance.

  • You can feel eager about what you want without feeling impatience.
  • You can feel optimistic about what you want without feeling doubt.
  • You can know you are worthy of receiving what you want even before what you want manifests.

“You can be fully satisfied with where you are, understanding that you’re eternally evolving. When you get into that place of feeling appreciation of where you are and of who you are, and appreciation of what you are, and you accept that you are a never-ending, always unfolding Being, then you can stand in that delicate balance of being optimistic about what is to come, without being unhappy about where you stand. Find a way of eagerly anticipating future changes, while at the same time you are in love and satisfied with who, what, where, and how you be.” —Abraham

I absolutely love this wisdom!

Do you understand you are always evolving? Do you appreciate where you are and who you are—right now? Not when you lose weight or get the guy. Not when you buy the bigger house or get the promotion. Do you appreciate where you are right now, exactly as you are, right now?

For many of us, the answer is, Nope, not really. I’ll appreciate myself when X, Y, or Z. I can’t appreciate myself until I do this, have this, am this.

If that sounds familiar, Abraham is opening a door to you, and you have a life-changing opportunity to step through it and appreciate where you are and who you are, right here, right now. Nothing needs to change externally for you to internally embrace appreciation for where you are and who you are.

Then, can you stand in the delicate balance of being optimistic and excited about what’s coming, without being unhappy and low vibe about where you are right now?

Too often we simply don’t allow ourselves to be happy, to be high vibe until we arrive at the destination of what we want.

That, my friend, is not how Law of Attraction works. That’s the paradigm backwards. That is not conscious, deliberate creation.

Regardless of what it is you are wanting—the promotion or relationship, the freedom or well-being, the money or fulfilling job—can you want what you want and feel high vibe, even before what you want manifests?

That is the perfect creative stance. Which means, it is the way you create what you want. It is the way you manifest what you want with ease.

I’m going to share the last part of Abraham’s quote again because it gives me goosebumps: “Find a way of eagerly anticipating future changes, while at the same time you are in love and satisfied with who, what, where, and how you be.” —Abraham

I’m not sure that’s correct grammar, but I love it! We all have an opportunity to eagerly anticipate what’s coming, while loving who we are, while being satisfied with the what and where of our lives.

Let me touch briefly on the second part of Abraham’s perfect creative stance: Eagerness for more.

Eagerness for more means you know that you are a growth-seeking Being, and so it’s natural you will always want more. Even as you achieve goals, acquire shiny pennies, have experiences, new desires will be born. And that is a beautiful thing!

Flowing your energy to those new desires is what life is all about. Not the getting of them, but the flowing of energy to them.

Eagerness for more is about anticipation and positive expectation. Eagerness for more is getting up in the morning and being excited about what the day holds. Because you know, through the lens of Law of Attraction, that you create the kind of day you have. And so, as the sign in my Mom’s house says: Today is a good day for a good day.

Remember, the goals and shiny pennies are never really the point.

It’s the joy of the journey to those goals and shiny pennies. That’s where eagerness for more is a life-affirming, high vibe way to show up in the world.

“There are no big creations and little creations. There are just creations. And there is satisfaction and dissatisfaction in every moment. And you have control over that.” —Abraham

This is about tapping into satisfaction. About shifting from dissatisfaction to satisfaction.

  • When you rely on circumstances and conditions to feel satisfaction, you are creating by default.
  • When you stop using circumstances and conditions as your excuse to not let in all the things you’ve been wanting, that’s when you are a conscious, deliberate creator.

Here’s something I’ve been practicing: Simply reminding myself there is satisfaction and dissatisfaction in every moment.

Which will I choose? What will I choose to pay attention to and focus on to activate one or the other? What thoughts will I choose to think to feel satisfaction or dissatisfaction?

I see it in my mind like a signpost at a crossroads. There’s a sign pointing in one direction that says Satisfaction. The other sign pointing in the opposite direction says Dissatisfaction.

  • Which path will I choose with my thinking?
  • Which road will I take depending on what I focus on?
  • Which way will I go based on the meaning I give to circumstances and conditions?

There’s no doubt, I have control over which path I go down. You have control over whether you take the path of satisfaction or dissatisfaction.

So this is an easy tool to put in your LoA toolkit. Start gently reminding yourself there is satisfaction and dissatisfaction in every moment, and you are creating depending on which of those you activate with your vibration.

“Satisfaction always is you in this moment, with your thinking mechanism, with all that you are, focusing in complete harmony with the thought that your Inner Being is having in the same moment about the same thing—satisfaction is that harmony of thought.” —Abraham

Satisfaction is that harmony of thought. That harmony between what you are thinking and how your Inner Being sees you and the situation. When you feel the negative emotion of dissatisfaction it means how you are thinking is not in agreement with how your Inner Being sees you and whatever is going on.

Quite simply: Being satisfied is being in receiving mode for what you want. Being dissatisfied is not.

So often we think we need to focus on what we’re dissatisfied about in order to change it. We think we have to focus on the problem to solve it.

But it’s actually just the opposite. You can’t focus on dissatisfaction to get to satisfaction. You can’t focus on the problem to get to the solution. They are two entirely different vibrations.

When you focus on your dissatisfaction, you only attract more into your life to be dissatisfied about. You attract circumstances, people, events, situations, and things of a similar frequency.

Get off the dissatisfaction frequency. What you want is not there. What you create from the feeling of dissatisfaction will not be what you want.

Get on the satisfaction frequency.

“We would begin by saying, ‘I’m not ever going to get it done. I’m an eternally expanding Being, and I’m doing great where I am, and I’m so eager about what’s coming.’ That’s the essence of the vibration that keeps adventurous things coming, keeps you feeling always excited, stable and secure, keeps you feeling in love with life. All day, every day, count your blessings! All day, every day, make your lists of things you appreciate. And as you keep activating what is working in your life, then more pleasing things on all subjects will flow to you.” —Abraham
